Placer County STRs

This inspection will only be conducted when snow is clear from the ground. NTF will collect the fee for and conduct the Defensible Space inspections required for the STR permit for our district.

If an inspection is completed at your address, a report from FPO@ntfire.net and a cost recovery invoice from Square.com will be sent to the email address submitted with your request. Lack of payment will result in a failed inspection the invoice will be issued after the inspection.

FIRE COST RECOVERY SCHEDULE

The scheduling calendars are rolling calendars. Each day, the 28th day will open inspection slots at midnight. The day will only open if it has available time slots.

NTF Cost Recovery Fees will be collected for STR Defensible Space Inspections for all STR permits. These cost recovery fees were not collected by the Placer County STR program. NTF collects these fees directly via an invoice issued through Square.com.

For Interior STR Inspections 

STR Fire & Life Safety interior inspections will be conducted by Placer County staff starting January 2024 for STRs within the North Tahoe Fire District. To schedule with Placer County Staff email scheduleSTR@placer.ca.gov
